Sept 15 Airport Information

To all Aero club members.

I will be at the Reno Air Races on Saturday, Sept. 15 if any one is interested … you can put a fly out together.

On Sept. 13 the Lake California runway was slurry sealed and is closed for operations. I have been told by the resurfacers that it will be open for operation on Saturday Sept.15. The new surface is soft and can be easily damaged!!! Please do not turn around or make sharp turns on the new runway. Go the end and use either the run up area or tone of the turn arounds located at each end.

Aug. 11 Fly Out

To all Aero club members.

The Saturday,Aug. 11, mission we will be flying to Quincy (2O1). Departure time is 8:00 A.M.Quincy is 63 miles on a heading of 97 degrees a very beautiful flight.

The forty-niners called the Quincy area "the Lost Sierra." Sprawling over the northernmost reaches of the Sierra Nevada, heavily forested Plumas County, where Quincy is the county seat, may seem as remote today as its goldfields were in 1850. But the mountain town and its environs are well worth the long drive for travelers who like their nature and solitude seasoned with rural comfort.

If you have an extra seat please give me a call at 347-6712 so another club member can enjoy the flight.
