Sock it to me!


Following on from Howie's windsock move, the segmented circle was moved by a group of us last Sunday. It is now midfield on the west side. The sock was folded inside out, and now it is orange again!

Sat 26th May Flyout: Trinity Center


This weekends mission will be to Trinity Center (O86). Departure time is 9:00a.m. Breakfast at the cafe ½ mile from the field. http://airnav.com/airport/o86

May 19th Flyout - Gnoss

Fog permitting, this weeks flyout will be to Novato Gnoss Field (DVO http://airnav.com/airport/dvo). EAA Chapter 1232 (my old chapter) is having a Spring Bar-B-Q at the CAP Headquarters. There will be a short chapter meeting then lots of fun.
The CAP building at Gnoss Field is at the South parking lot, look for the EAA chapter banner.

Departure time is 10:30am.

If you plan to go, let me know so I can call ahead and give them a number.

May 12 Fly Out

This weekends mission will be to Red Bluff for breakfast and then to Benton for the FAA "Authority of Aviation Medical Examiners (AMEs)"
Departure time is 8:00a.m. for breakfast and 10:00 a.m.. for the FAA seminar.

Airport Appreciation Day is June 2nd

DATE: JUNE 2, 2007
TIME: 10:00 am until 2:00 pm

Schedule of Events and Locations:

• 10:00 to 11:30: Plane spotting. Resident pilot fly-overs. Guest pilot arrivals and parking.
• 10:00 to 12:00: Mercy Air Medical Helicopter, CDF and CHP aircraft display. (If available.)
• 11:15 to Noon: Earn Your FUTURE PILOT Wings! Kids Activities- Come build and fly your own paper airplanes or gliders and get your wings. Get your photo taken with a pilot!
• Noon to 1:30: Lunch! Catered BBQ-Choice of Tri Tip or Chicken ($7.00- includes drink & dessert) —first come first served!
• 1:30 to 2:00: Get up close and personal to the aircraft. RVs, Zodiac, Falco, Rocket, Cessnas, Cherokees, Gyrocopter, and more! Meet the Lake California Pilots! Tour the hangars.
• 2:00 to 2:30: Plane spotting. Visiting aircraft will be departing during this time.

Sat May 5th Mission

This weekends mission will be a double, to Rancho Tehama (RTR) Departure time is 9:00a.m. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided at the west end of the field. This is their open house. The CTAF is 122.9 and the runways are 27 and 9, the airport has an R on each end. It is a special use airport. All are welcome.

Lake California pilots need to return early so we can attend the 11:00 A.M. POA annual meeting where one of our members Dan DeArman is running for the board.
